Paramotor flying in Spain

We cooperate with Dani Martinez, a Spanish world champion in Paramotor flying, PAP a paramotor manufacturer in Estepona and Paramania with Mike Cambell-Jones in Great Britain. Mike is the inventor of the superior technology for the Reflex parachutes. All together, this makes for the best equipment and competence in the world for paramotor flying.

Our teacher Lasse Lundberg is a licensed instructor by the British BMAA-system, which is the most accepted and adopted system in the world today.

Because northern Europe has more unstable weather than southern Spain itīs optimal to school Paramotor courses in Nerja, which we do on a regular basis. Itīs not only the weather that is an advantage, a course away from home is more concentrated and thus more effective, instead of trying to fit it in during weekends and evenings before dark.

Nerja has the best climate in Europe with over 300 sunny days a year. This, of course, is no guarantee that itīs possible to fly every day, but then there is always theory, and engine maintenance to go through. After 10-14 days itīs calculated that you have the BMAA-certificate together with an unforgettable experience in Nerja and surroundings with your new paramotor friends. The better you get at flying the more amazing it gets! When you've seen the nature around the inaccessable beaches and the dramatic views of Sierra Nevada itīs impossible not to return. The only way to experience the nature to the fullest is to fly the paramotor.

Our field for schooling beginners is up on the way towards Granada. Itīs quite a way to get there but it's no doubt worth the drive. The field is huge and is elevated 750 m above the sea. See the photo above. Sierra Nevadaīs presence in the background makes sure that the weather is stable and fit for schooling. These conditions are extremely hard to match in other places.

For continuing courses and adventure courses there is, of course, some more exciting and challenging scenery closer to Nerja. The picture to the left is of a beach on the way to Maro, which is the neighbouring village to Nerja. These beaches are inaccesible except by boat or paramotor. This makes for a perfect lunch stop for those a little more advanced who do the second course and learn navigation, side wind starts and other topics not covered in the first course.

The nature around Nerja is fantastic and we organize other courses for advanced fliers who seek something a little extra.

Adventure flying 1 is a course covering topics like security, materials, refuelling away from base etc. This course contains among other things a full day flight to Sierra Nevada. A prerequisite for this course is a BMAA-license plus a few hours of logged fly-time with landings away from the field. This is only for advanced pilots. Extra adventure equipment is included in the course fee.

Adventure flying 2 is the most advanced course in the world for this type of flying. The pilot and the equipment must be exceptional. Not all equipment will be accepted. This course includes a night stay outdoors.
