Within walking distance from central Nerja is Cortijo Hidalgo, a stable with 15 horses, well cared for. There are a lot of options available for the rides, what about a long ride up in the andalusian mountains, a galop on the beach or a long ride with a well earned paella and sangria? All this can be offered to riders no matter if they are alone or in a group. All rides are fitted to the riders experiense. If there is a group who's members have wildly divergent riders, there is the possibility to split the group up. All riders are fully ensured if they wear the mandatory helmet.

Long ride with paella
This ride is splendid for groups, since it requires some planing ahead. The ride is about 5-6 hours in total. This includes a break where you eat paella which Antonio, the owner of the stable, has cooked out under the bare sky. There is also some icy cold sangría served, which is usually very welcome in the heat. Depending on the group's experience the place may differ. All this assures the excursion to be a splendid experience!

Long ride in the mountains
This excursion is about 5 hours and takes us up into the andalucian mountains with amazing views and dramatic landscapes. There will be a well earned break in a genuine little resturant where both the riders and the horses get some food and rest. For the ones who want a dip in the pool is possible before the return to Nerja

Half day ride with picknick
This tour is the perfect choice for the ones who havn't been riding for a while or perhaps never tried. It doesn't take long to get from the stable to untouched nature with wide views over Nerja and the coast, or you might prefer a ride on the beach. This tour is between 3-3,5 hours on horse back and a picknick in a nice spot.

Riding per hour
Cortijo Hidalgo also offer the possibility to pay per hour. This option means that a group or you alone go out with an instructor. You choose if you want to go to the beach or the mountains. Riding lessons are also available.
